Baptism

We love celebrating new life in Jesus!

A few times each year we honor those who have put their faith in Jesus or recommitted their lives to Him.

Our beliefs.

For us, baptism is an outward symbol of the inward transformation that God has already accomplished in the heart. As a person is immersed under water, we remember that Jesus was killed and placed in a grave. And as that person is lifted up out of the water, we remember the victory Jesus won for us in his resurrection. Baptism is a profound reminder of the gospel and God’s promise to rescue us, his lost and broken people.

What to expect:

We do our baptisms a few times a year, right outside Bowman Hall at the end of a worship gathering. The outdoor, public setting of the baptism is a powerful picture of what it happening in baptism, as men and women are making a public declaration that their life and hope are in Jesus.
